Raider Nation should maybe temper their expectations for this draft. Although the Raiders have done fairly well throughout the past few years in finding talent late; Not selecting until the third round of the draft should not merit much excitement. With the Raiders’ first and second-round picks now belonging to the Green Bay Packers (the Davante Adams trade), Las Vegas will look to plunge out some talent late in the draft with the Raiders now having five total picks. Of the five selections, the Raiders own, two are in the fifth round with no sixth round pick. As the Raiders’ new regime has put such a heavy emphasis on reconstructing and rebuilding this roster through free agency and trades, the draft has become somewhat of an afterthought for the franchise.
