After a midseason hiccup, the Los Angeles Rams regained form, peaked at the right time, and rode some incredible moments all the way to a Super Bowl title. The Rams proved that the “move of desperation” to acquire Matthew Stafford was indeed the upgrade they needed to reach the summit, and their “all in” approach to forego early draft picks for proven stars has clearly been effective. The additions of Von Miller and Odell Beckham Jr. were crucial in the playoff run. Miller played his best football of 2021 in the postseason and Beckham helped draw coverage away from Cooper Kupp. The Stafford to Kupp connection delivered for the Rams in their last three playoff games on key drives to take the lead and win each game. Sean McVay made key adjustments late on Sunday, and they paid off, as he sits on the mountain top, and is the youngest coach to do so. The offseason will be interesting for the Los Angeles Rams. There are a lot of rumors about retirement, but the only ones with any traction are Eric Weddle (confirmed) and Andrew Whitworth, who is 40 and finally won a ring. The rest will likely be back, along with McVay.
