Much like the NFL never stops, neither does the world of college football, a sport that's become a talking point throughout the calendar year. While the 2024 NFL Draft wrapped up just a week ago, it's already time to start looking ahead to the 2025 NFL Draft. And yes, while you may agree that we've got a long way to go until the college season begins when the calendar turns to June and July, NFL scouts will officially hit the road again in anticipation of getting an early start on potential prospects for the 2025 draft. Based on early projections, it's expected to be a very deep group of defensive players. The class of 2025 is loaded at both edge rusher and interior defensive linemen, meaning there'll be projections all over the place throughout the fall and well into Spring 2025. But those projections are what makes mock drafting so early so much fun. There are a wide variety of ways in which the class of 2025 could go. Beyond the projected group of edge rushers and defensive linemen, there could be six or seven offensive tackles selected in round one, along with a deep group of skill position players.
