This weekend’s college football schedule allowed for an excellent look at the top signal-callers eligible for the 2025 NFL Draft. Upon further in-depth examination, Cameron Ward of Miami is our number one quarterback prospect. In a shootout against Louisville, Ward preserved the Hurricanes undefeated season, throwing for 319 yards (his seventh consecutive game of at least 300 passing yards), four touchdowns and no interceptions, while demonstrating elite level traits. The ability Ward possesses to extend plays, throw on the run and zip the ball on a dime half the distance of the football field with a simple flick of the wrist was on full display Saturday afternoon. Not only is he the top-rated quarterback but also a leading contender for the Heisman Trophy. Next up was Jalen Milroe of Alabama, who ran into a buzzsaw this week that was the Tennessee Volunteers. Milroe has flashed franchise quarterback ability but has struggled with his consistency in 2024. Poor decision-making was costly for Milroe, who threw two more interceptions against the Vols. He has now thrown six interceptions in his past four games, which matches his entire total for all of last season.
