With The First Pick

Running backs don’t matter. At least that is the current trend in the NFL, which has turned into a mantra across the league. As this 2021 NFL Mock Draft gets ready to kick off, this trend will be taken to heart as no running backs will be listed throughout. Just this past April, only one running back was taken in the entirety of the first round, and it came with the last pick of the night. LSU standout and national championship winning running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire landed with the Kansas City Chiefs, who are apparently more concerned with scoring as many points as possible and daring the other teams to catch them.
