For every team that didn’t meet expectations a season ago, they now turn to the 2023 NFL Draft for a fresh injection of talent to the roster. While organizations can fill smaller, more immediately pressing needs through free agency, the draft offers a chance to add an impact player at a fraction of the cost. All 32 NFL franchises will admit their ideal plan to build their roster is through the draft, with the hopes of finding several long-term contributors throughout the three-day player selection process that runs from April 27-29. Obviously, some teams are in a stronger position to improve than others, with the Seattle Seahawks, Detroit Lions, and Philadelphia Eagles all boasting two first-round picks. While others, such as the Cleveland Browns, Denver Broncos, and San Francisco 49ers, don’t have a pick until Day 2, thanks to previous trade agreements.
