When it comes to deciphering who our favorite team might take in the NFL Draft or how the first round is going to unfold, we all have our own thought processes when it comes to making those decisions. We all may see positional needs differently or value specific traits more than others, among many other factors, all of which will impact how the mock draft plays out. For this exercise, I wanted to remove as much of that as possible. So, I ran a full first-round simulation using PFF’s mock draft simulator, with the computer making all of the picks. Now, of course, there are still some biases in play because factoring into these picks are PFF’s individual grades of the prospects, along with the ability to change how much a team cares for positional value and how much they want to draft for needs. But, with this process, I wanted to take out as many of the variables as I could.
