NFL free agency opens this week, and by the end of the week, there will be plenty of player movement across the league. Some of that player movement could change the priorities of the team’s draft needs ahead of next month’s 2024 NFL draft. The top of the draft should not be impacted by free agency. Teams needing a quarterback, such as the Chicago Bears and Washington Commanders, holding the top two selections, will still be selecting a quarterback regardless of free agency. However, other teams needing a specific position, such as a center, could look to the flooded veteran market for a short-term answer in the first round, choosing instead to attack other positions.
