The 2024 NFL draft is less than a month away, and it’s becoming clear that at least six quarterbacks have a realistic shot at being taken in the first round. Things don’t get that crazy in this latest mock draft, but we cut it close with five quarterbacks going within the top-15. It’s hard to compete successfully in the NFL without a legitimate franchise quarterback under center. So it would come as no surprise seeing multiple teams reaching in hopes of landing the next C.J. Stroud as a rookie. But draft gambles at the top of the board create unexpected opportunities for other teams. If the focus is all quarterbacks early in the draft, it would create a situation where some of the other top players at other positions on the board, such as Marvin Harrison Jr., Joe Alt, Dallas Turner and Olu Fashanu, would fall further than originally expected.
