With the 2024 NFL draft still more than two weeks from initiating in Detroit, what better time to kick back, open a cold one … and inhale the smoke(screens)? Mid-April is when conjecture takes root, rumors buzz about and there’s ample misdirection and misinformation to sift through. But, hey, the NFL draft is typically chock full of surprise picks and/or the stunning trades that so often precipitate them. This mock draft will embrace some of the purported chaos – within reason – while exploring a few of the wilder scenarios that could materialize in the first round … once that smoke dissipates, of course.
