Green Bay Packers‘ general manager Brian Gutekunst has been unpredictable during the draft in his tenure. He’s demonstrated he’s not afraid to trade up or down in the first round or even to do both. That makes the upcoming draft night extremely fun for fans as we truly have no idea about what’s to come. In this edition of the Packers’ 2021 7-round mock draft, Gutekunst trades out of the first round entirely and acquires a couple of additional picks. I was wary of this approach at first, but after completing it, it turned out very well. I was able to sufficiently address almost all of the Packers’ needs–the only position I’m not happy with is wide receiver, but the board just didn’t fall for me to take one outside of the first selection. Without further ado, let’s dive into this trading way back edition.
