It's never too early to begin looking ahead to what the future could hold for all 32 NFL franchises. The Chicago Bears are no exception as the 2023 offseason will mark the franchise's second under general manager Ryan Poles and head coach Matt Eberflus. Looking ahead to the 2023 offseason, the Bears will have a number of questions to answer. Early season struggles for quarterback Justin Fields have led to questions about whether or not he could really be the face of the franchise moving forward. Then there's the lack of talent at the wide receiver position, a position that has become instrumental when developing a young quarterback. On defense, the Bears are forming a new identity, with defensive line and linebacker being identified as key needs the team could look to address next offseason. With upwards of $100M in cap space, the Bears have the option of being aggressive in free agency, going on a spending spree to fill a number of roster holes. But as Poles established in his first offseason, the Bears could opt to build through the NFL Draft again, giving Chicago an influx of young talent on rookie contracts as the team continues to build around Fields.
