One of the things the Browns have focused on this offseason has been trying to give Deshaun Watson more weapons in the passing game in the hopes of resurrecting his form from Houston. The big move came by acquiring Elijah Moore from the Jets. But they also signed a former teammate of Watson in tight end Jordan Akins and veteran receiver Marquise Goodwin. Those moves should make things easier for Watson. But the Browns also suffered a setback when second-year receiver Michael Woods II tore his Achilles during an offseason workout with Watson, ending his season. That could open the door once again for the Browns to add another explosive receiver to their passing game. It’s easy to think that considering the additions they’ve made, adding one more is too much. But as the Chiefs proved last season, there is no such thing as having too many capable receivers.
