For months and months now, we’ve been waiting for the Green Bay Packers to trade Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets and then go from there. With the 2023 NFL Draft now just a week away, though, the clock feels like it’s definitely ticking on that deal getting done. However, as the draft approaches, there are now reports that the San Francisco 49ers could be willing to deal former No. 3 overall pick Trey Lance. And the Packers have picked up some steam as a potential partner for such a trade, especially given some light rumblings that the 49ers could be a spoiler party to come in and try to make a trade for Rodgers. In the immortal words of Lloyd Christmas, “so you’re telling me there’s a chance” that we could get an Aaron Rodgers trade for Trey Lance? Yes, it seems that might be the case.
