At this juncture, the Steelers have a ton of needs and a lot of work to do for this roster to become a contender. There are many different talents in the 2023 NFL Draft that could change the tide for the black and gold to get better in the upcoming season. Expect Pittsburgh to be open to the idea of trading back in the first round if certain scenarios play out. The old wait-and-see approach has not failed this organization when you look at their draft track record. They wait for pick 17 to come along and get a generous trade offer from the Giants to move back eight selections on night one of the draft. Adding an extra second and fourth round pick this year and a fourth rounder in 2024 was too hard to pass on.
