It’s never too early to begin looking at the likely pool of prospects for next year’s NFL Draft, and that’s what I use mock drafts for at this time of the year. To get a rudimentary idea of which players will likely be the top prospects by April. Of course, everything could change during college football season, and guys we look at now as locks to go in the top ten could end up falling to Day 2 or farther.
