It’s never too early to begin looking at the likely pool of prospects for next year’s NFL Draft, and that’s what I use mock drafts for at this time of the year. To get a rudimentary idea of which players will likely be the top prospects by April. Of course, everything could change during college football season, and guys we look at now as locks to go in the top ten could end up falling to Day 2 or farther. But for now, we’ll go with what we’ve got for this 2-round mock draft. I used the brand-new, free-to-use NFL Mock Draft simulator available here on Bears Talk, the only mock draft simulator tailored specifically to Bears fans. Projections have the Bears selecting 10th overall via the pick GM Ryan Poles received from the Carolina Panthers, 12th overall, and 44th in Round 2.
