One advantage to targeting offensive linemen in this year’s draft for the Cleveland Browns is that they wouldn’t be required to play right away. Though there might be a question mark on which right tackle will start if both are healthy, the starting five is pretty locked in stone, barring injury. The future of Jedrick Wills Jr. in Cleveland is unclear as he enters the final year of his deal. Barring a massive improvement in play, drafting his replacement this year makes a ton of sense. General manager Andrew Berry likes to draft players a year early, letting them develop before seeing the field. The Browns also must begin thinking about life after Joel Bitonio and drafting his future replacement and letting them learn behind him would be the way to go. Linebacker is another position the team needs long-term answers at, and though it isn’t the greatest class we have ever seen, it is better than some are giving it credit for.
