And now … a shot at a full prediction. The Philadelphia Eagles shuffled their 2024 draft pick arsenal one more time during free agency. They essentially moved back from No. 98 to No. 120 in a swap of selections with the Pittsburgh Steelers that netted backup quarterback Kenny Pickett. Pending any other potential moves by general manager Howie Roseman, the Eagles will enter the draft with an allotment of eight total picks that tie for 13th-most in the NFL. The Eagles — who have managed retirements by two potential Hall of Famers, substantial free agency signings, high-profile trades and major contract extensions — have been one of the most active teams during the offseason. The maneuvers further made clear what positional needs remain. They could use a significant investment at cornerback, a clear starter at right guard, depth at offensive tackle, inside linebacker and edge rusher, while also adding more bodies at wide receiver and tight end to create competition at depth spots during training camp. Top-level NFL executives don’t know exactly how the first round of the draft will go, much less all seven. But let’s grab the crystal ball and give it a good gaze.
