Kudos to the Jacksonville Jaguars for finding a way to lose to the New York Jets thereby putting them in the driver’s seat to finish this season with the top overall pick in next April’s NFL Draft secured. Cleveland is the last team to pick first in back-to-back years (2017 and 2018). Indeed, the Browns had the honor the last two times (in 1999 and 2000 as well). Both times they took a quarterback and an edge rusher. The Jaguars have their quarterback and two elite edge prospects will likely vie for the top spot. All the Jags have to do is not handle — or handle depending on your perspective — their business against New England and Indianapolis the next two games.
