The offseason feels as though it’s in full swing for the Chicago Bears, yet the 2021 season isn’t quite done yet. With Super Bowl LVI coming up, all eyes will be on the Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Rams in an interesting battle of up-and-coming talent versus veteran stars. In order to get to that stage in the near future, new general manager Ryan Poles will have some work to do. This offseason, the Bears have some decisions to make on their own free agents, as well as which players they will choose to spend big (or small) on in the larger free agent pool. When it comes to the draft, the Bears are in a tough spot as they only have two picks in the first four rounds, and five picks in all. In his opening press conference, Poles did acknowledge that he is always of the mindset that he should acquire more draft capital. Therefore, we should be expecting a trade or two in the 2022 NFL Draft.
