There’s a greater likelihood of the New England Patriots staying at No. 3 in the 2024 NFL draft and getting their next franchise quarterback, but a trade-down scenario also isn’t out of the realm of possibility, depending on the offer. But what would it take for a quarterback-needy team like the Patriots to pass on a rare opportunity of landing one of the top quarterback prospects in a draft? Well, it obviously wouldn’t come cheap. The Minnesota Vikings are considered the likely trade partner in this scenario considering they already have two first-round picks in the draft. When asked to give an opinion of such a trade, ESPN’s Mike Reiss suggested his belief is it would take an established player, such as Vikings All-Pro wide receiver Justin Jefferson, and multiple first-round picks to move the Patriots.
