The Chicago Bears lead off the 2024 NFL draft with the No. 1 overall pick acquired from the Carolina Panthers last offseason in one of the greatest swaps of first-round picks in NFL history. General manager Ryan Poles is pushing in all his chips on the rebuilding that he has done, and this draft is another chance to add talent to the roster before an important season begins. With Justin Fields gone, the Bears’ first selection seems all but certain. And if the board falls just right, they could land an impact contributor with their own No. 9 selection. If Chicago had this exact draft go down for themselves, they would feel very good about the way things are going into 2024. After the Bears comes the rest of the league. There are a lot of quarterbacks in play with this draft, which should make for an interesting first round as teams look to move up.
