All eyes will be on the Chicago Bears come April 25, where they’ll kick off the 2024 NFL draft with the first overall selection (courtesy of the Carolina Panthers). There’s little surprise what Chicago will do at No. 1 — hello, Caleb Williams! — but there’s more intrigue with their own ninth overall selection. There should be some top talent available, but it could very well be a prime trade back spot for the Bears, who have just four draft picks. There are a lot of teams that could make more first-round trades at this point as they try to fill their biggest needs. At least half a dozen teams are going to attempt to get their next franchise quarterback in this draft, which is always very entertaining to see. It’s also a very strong wide receiver class, which makes you wonder which teams will try to make a move to land one.
